LMH6881: 1Ghz and G=10 differential to single-ended large signal amplifier

Hello Martin,

The OPA85x family are still good recommendations for diff to SE conversion at higher bandwidths.  We also have some newer devices, such as OPA817 and OPA818, which could be used here.

Am I understanding correctly that the input signal would be between 200mVpp to 1Vpp at 1GHz?  What would this amplifier be driving into?

We do have a few options outside of what I have recommended, depending on the nuance of your design and what specs you care about the most.

Why are NC pins 1 and 18 connected to mlcc in the Eval schematics? Do these pins have a function?

Hello Martin,

Pins 1 & 18 are no connect (NC) pins for LMH6881.  The EVM board was designed to work with other devices in the same package; those devices would potentially benefit from the bypass capacitors used in the EVM schematic.  Pins 1 & 18 on the LMH6881 are not internally connected to the die.
