Hi,
I apologize for the confusion earlier.
By "not working," I mean that the circuit does not respond when an input signal is applied. However, when I removed the shunt resistor by shorting the traces, the circuit began functioning correctly.
Could you please review the design to identify the issue and guide me on how to correct it? I am currently designing a new board and have an opportunity to implement the necessary fixes.
I hope this explanation is clearer now. I appreciate your time and look forward to your guidance.
Hi,
I’m currently facing an issue related to the shunt resistor in my circuit. When the shunt resistor is connected, the solenoid does not respond to the input signal, and the circuit appears non-functional.
However, when I remove the shunt resistor by shorting its traces, the solenoid operates as expected.
Hi Fahad,
Can you please show a scope shot of the output of the INA2180 when the shunt resistor is connected and when the shunt is shorted?
Can you also provide a scope shot of the input signal of the INA2180 when the shunt resistor is connected and when it is shorted?
Javier is right that you have too big of a capacitive load on the output which is likely contributing to the issues you are seeing.
Best,
Holly
