USB2ANY: USB2ANY IDC Connector Pitch

Part Number: USB2ANY

Hi,

The USB2ANY documentation specifically states the pitch of the output IDC interface is 50mil (1.25mm) on page 3 of SNAU228 (Jan 2018).

However, I have checked against many TI eval boards that contain a USB2ANY IDC header, and they all use a 2.54mm pitch IDC header.

Just as an example:

  • TPS55287Q1EVM-085
  • ULC1001-DRV290x
  • TPS55289Q1EVM-011

I could not find any eval modules using a 50 mil (*1.27mm*) pitch header for the USB2ANY interface.

I have also seen that a 1.27mm pitch ribbon cable was recommended for use with the USB2ANY which adds to the confusion (refer here).

I am looking to include the interface header in a development board I am working on so clarity would be useful. I don't have a USB2ANY just yet for me to check myself.

Thanks,

Matt

  • Hi Matt,

50mil is referring to the pitch of the ribbon cable, not the connecter.

    The connecter pitch is 2.54mm.

if you are looking for the receiving header part number, here are some examples:

    10-pin header: 52601-S10-8LF

    30-pin header: 302-R301
