BUF802: BUF802 buffer mode simulation

Hi,

I successfully simulated (SPICE) BUF802 in composite loop, but when I try to simulate in buffer mode (like in the eval board schematic), I get wrong results.

There are maybe pins inside the model that are connected?

Anyway, is there a way to simulate this mode with the TI provided spice model (maybe by modifiying by hand the model) ?

It seems I have to force a positive bias on the IN pin (thru the 1M resistor), anything below or equal to GND makes the circuit generate only positive voltage at output. My understanding is that anything inside supply range should work as a bias voltage, is there something I am missing?

I am double checking the input common-mode range of the device and will follow-up shortly about the model accuracy.

Hi Jean,

Apologies for the delay in response. Yes, I did look at the input common-mode range and it does seem unrealistically restrictive. I tried to find a way to modify the SPICE file but unfortunately this uses an architecture I am unfamiliar with. I put it in our queue for rework with a new model.
