TLC274: TLC274CDR

Part Number: TLC274

We tried to changed new TLC274 and measuement Pin 1 after start
fucntional. Found voltage result from PCBA 8 good units and 8 fail units with TLC274 2 datecode

  • Hi Kittiya,

Thank you for your inquiry. This device has a PCN associated with it, which can be found here. It is likely the difference in measurement comes from the updated ESD cells for this device.

Since the measurement difference is ~0.7V, and this matches the average value of a diode, this is likely where the difference in measurement comes from. It looks like the TLC274 previously did not have an ESD cell on the output. The update to the TLC274 ESD cells help provide more robust protection for any electrical overstress (EOS) events that could occur on the op amp output.

Can you please provide more information on the functional test that was done on the TLC274? Any circuit or diagram to help explain would be helpful. Can you also confirm if the device fails in the normal circuit operation, or if it fails only the functional test? The ESD cells are triggered during abnormal ESD/EOS events, and the extra ESD cell should not affect the op amp during linear operation.

    Best regards,
    Carrie
