LM10-MIL: /883B vs /883

The "B" indicates the "B" rev of MIL-STD-883 - not a device revision or grade.

Years ago (90's) the requirement was to add the "B" to devices tested under the "B" standard.

The requirement for the "B" has been removed - but the "B" still persists as a indicator of /883. TI uses the "B" suffix on some parts to indicate /883.

Depending on the datecode and manufacturer, the LM108AJ-8/883 may be considered pre-"B", or, it is newer and the manufacturer did not use B.

Devices are tested to the standard at the time of testing. The paperwork should say which standard was used at the time.

 Suffice to say, they are both /883 and the differences between the standards are usually slight. They should perform the same (if from the same manufacturer).
