I want to use INA332 along with the MSP430G2 development board for the EKG measurement.
I want to replace INA332 with another instrumentation amplifier which is available in PDIP package.
Which instrumentation amplifier should I use to replace INA332?
Hello Vahora,
The INA332 is a 2-op amp instrumentation amplifier with an output gain stage. It requires 2 external resistors to set the gain. We have no devices with the same topology that come in a DIP package.
Therefore, I recommend either of the following:
1) If this is just a development board, perhaps you could solder an INA332 on a DIP adapter board. There are a number of online vendors who sell MSOP-8 to DIP adapter boards.
2) If this is your production design, here are some instrumentation amplifier that come in DIP packages: INA114, INA115, INA118, INA121, INA122*, INA126*, and INA128/9. However, they differ in topology (and performance, of course). For example, the INA122 and INA126 are 2-op amp instrumentation amplifiers, which are closer to the device you have already selected (INA332). The rest are traditional 3-op amp instrumentation amplifiers. All of them, however will have pinouts different from the INA332 because they only require 1 resistor to set the gain (the INA332 requires 2 resistors).
I hope this helps.
