LMP7731, LMP7732 input bias current and CM range

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP7731, LMP7732

Hello,

The LMP7731, LMP7732 data sheets show the input bias current off the graph as the CM approaches the rails.

With a 5V supply:

1 - Is it safe to run the CM to the rails over temperature?

2 - What would be the expected bias current, at the rails, over temperature?

Thanks,

Mark

  • HI Mark,

    1. Yes. But pay attention to the Offset Voltage vs Vcm vs temperature graphs in the datasheet. The point the offset shifts near the rails will vary with temperature.

    2. The graphs cuts off, but looking at char data, the currents can be as high as ±9uA at the rails at +125°C. These are dual stage bipolar input devices, so there is real base current.

    Regards,
