DRV401: Eddy current measure

Hello all,

I have one transducer and is how the picture below:

I can use a DRV401 for this? Because DRV401 have not excitation source, but I can use an external source with DRV401? Or TI has other options for my problem?

Hi Ricardo,

I have not seen the DRV401 used for this application. I am not sure if the frequency of this device will be viable. The DRV401 does have an excitation source for a flux gate sensor. I need to research this a little more before I can give you advice on other options.

Hi Ricardo,

What is your end Application? Is it to measure the distance away from a conductor? If so you can take a look at our LDC products. For example the LDC1000.
