AMC1301-Q1: AMC1301-Q1 isolate analog signal,

Part Number: AMC1301-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1301, ISO124

I want to use AMC1301-Q1 to  isolate analog signal. The input range  of AMC1301-Q1 is ±250mV,and fixed-gain is 8.2.  But table 6.1 indicate the range of  VINP   is  (GND1-6) to (VDD1+0.5). Please help me if I can use it  to  isolate analog signal with the  frequency if 10kHz,amplitude is  5V,and   not difference???

  • Hi user4178983,

Welcome to the e2e forum! The 6V level mentioned in the AMC1301 datasheet is ABS MAX, it's the voltage the device can tolerate before permanent damage is done to the inputs. The voltage measurement range is +/-250mV. You would need to divide down the 5V source so that it was within the linear measurement range of the AMC1301.
  • Thank you very much for your reply to me. Now I should use ISO124 to isolate analog signal.
