Hello ikon,

Thank you for considering to use Texas Instruments in your design. All of our current, voltage monitor devices typically require a positive common mode voltage. However, there is a way to get around this obstacle. In this thread, I show how you could measure with a negative bus voltage. With this implementation I believe you could use any of the parts listed on this page.

Hello ikon,

If you simply want to measure the load current with a negative bus voltage or negative common mode voltage, then yes we have a similar solution. You can use the INA138, INA139, INA168, INA169, or INA170 in the following configuration.
