AMC1200: What is the difference between amc1200s and amc1200b?

Part Number: AMC1200

I see the issue is with two datasheets: one for "regular" part, the other for -Q1 part. If one just looks at both datasheets (and they are two datasheets, one for regular version and one for -Q1 version), (s)he will find the S part in both. In the "regular" datasheet, it is not possible to understand the difference between B part and S part, and the S part is not even mentioned in the par. 7.3.1 of the "regular" datasheet. It is only the -Q1 version of datasheet that reveals the difference, but this is -Q1 part and it is different from regular AMC1200B part in other respects.

These are "regular" parts in their datasheet: AMC1200BDUBR, AMC1200BDWVR, AMC1200SDUBR

These are parts in the "-Q1" datasheet: AMC1200STDUBRQ1, AMC1200TDWVRQ1

How does the AMC1200S... part from the regular datasheet compare with the AMC1200S... part in the -Q1 datasheet in terms of isolation voltage and where is it visible in the datasheets?

Thanks.

  • Hi Genrikh,

Sorry about the confusion in the two datasheets. The AMC1200-Q1 version is rated to 4250V, there is no other offering besides the package option, which is either the DUB or the DWV. Since the 'regular' AMC1200 part has two voltage options, it carries the 'B' option. The 'S' also designates the package type - in both datasheets, the DUB package option carries the 'S' designation.
