LM2903: top marking question

Part Number: LM2903

Hello

LM2903DR with top mark as below

LM2903 : Device marking

TI 83A: logo, and date code

P139 G3: the assembly lot code, and RoHS/lead free category

My question is what is the assembly lot code in the line 3, what is difference with the lot number on the package label?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,.

We are on holiday break but I’ll try to get you an answer on Wednesday.

  • If at all possible please include pictures of the device and the label.
    Thanks

  • I have reached out to our quality representative for support on this question but unfortunately she is out until Jan 3.
Generally she requests pictures of the top marking and the label. If you can provide those, I will make sure to pass them on and get back to you when I receive feedback.
sorry for the delay during our holiday break,
    Chuck
  • Thanks for providing the images. I have submitted them for follow up. I notice that this appears to be a different device and reel than what you originally requested about, this top mark is 85K while the first request was for 83A. I presume this is more of a general question on your side and I need to find out the relation between the lot number on the device "C131" in this instance and the lot number n the reel that you have circled. I will get back to you next week when I have the answer.

The number next to "Lot" on the label that you circled is what we call our internal batch code. It is related to the lot code number of 85C131K that is seen on the top marking of the device. We can internally track the batch code to the assembly lot code but again this is for internal tracking purposes only. From the label and device top marking, my manufacturing team was able to show that the device came from that shipping label. At this point, there is no further information that I can provide on this topic, so I am going to close out this thread. If you have any further question, feel free to reply or open a new thread.
