I am sad that the OPA2111 will be discontinued ; (
26 years of loyal service, RIP.
Is there any plan to make an SMD version of OPA2111 with the exact same specification ?
I am currently only aware of the OPA2107 which has similar specification and comes in a SMD package.
Seems like the the OPA2107 has lower input noise and input bias current, but a higher capacitance for input impedance differential and common-mode rejection.

Unfortunately, there is no plan for the uSMD package on the OPA2111. You are correct in that the OPA2107 is the appropriate replacement.

The OPA2140 is also a good JFET option. What are some of the parameters which are important and critical for you? What is the application?

We are capturing different bio signals from the human body, thus we need certain parameters from the amplifier.
One of the best features that we love on the OPA2111 is that different frequencies are 100% tested for noise characteristics.
Next is the low capacitance on high impedance in differential mode, which results in having minimal effect to the subject. OPA2111 has just 1pF, never seen values so low on other amplifiers. We usually have an input impedance of around 25K so it's nice that the input voltage noise is equal to the resistor noise from 10K and up. We mostly use it to amplify frequencies in the range of 0.1Hz to 200Hz, so a low input voltage noise in that area is important.
So the only other comparable amplifier I found so far is the OPA2107, do you think there are other options, that might be more tested or have a lower capacitance and high impedances etc. ?

One of my favorite modern designs is the OPA2192. It has 1.6pF Cdiff with a very respectable noise floor of 5nV and it happens to be a CMOS, so current noise is very low. The added benefit is that it has what we call MUX friendly inputs. This means, unlike other high voltage CMOS op amps, it does not have those anti parallel (back to back) diodes at the input thereby allowing for much faster settling when doing time multiplexing.

Thanks for the insights. We will look into the OPA2192 and keep looking for other great designs. We have to anyway test them out with our device. That will take some time.
