LMV331: LMV331IDCKR

Part Number: LMV331

I found  marking of  LMV331IDCKR   are marking "2RI"  whille Spec marking => R2F / R2K / R2R

what's difference  of  2RI ?    I found old data sheet of TI  have  this marking in since 2015  also

what's develop of 2RI mean?  stil use  or it fake?

  • Hello Supawita,

    Is it "2RI" or "R2I" ? I see R2_ on old datasheets.

R2 is correct for the LMV331. The last letter is the assembly site code and could one of be several characters. The "I" is for a fab that was closed a few years ago, so it is possible to see "I" in older stocks.

So if the marking is really 2RI, then it is okay to use.

  • Dear Paul

Sorry   correct is  "R2I "  not    2RI  and Thank you for  your advise.

  • Dear Paul

You mention  "I" is for a fab that was closed a few years ago, so it is possible to see "I" in older stocks.

But we found  marking R2I in new  D/c 1849  ?

Do TI still have any Feb  assembly site that  still that   use  "I " In marking   in new d/c or not?

  • Hello Supawita,

Yes. It is possible. When a fab closes we may build up die bank inventory in case the transfer has issues. They may have used up that die to clear the die bank.

We would need the actual lot codes from the reel/box labels to track down exactly what was used.

Where are you seeing the datecode? I assume off the box/reel. The recent LMV331IDCKR should use a binary date code consisting of dashes next to the pins.

  • Supawita

we have not seen a response from you in a while.  I will be closing the thread but if you have any further input, please reply and restart the discussion and provide additional information.

    Thanks
