Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler
Hi Guys
I need to achieve bandwidth of 200Mhz using S5973 PHOTODIODE AND OPA657 OPAMP in transimpedance circuit.im having a problem in creating a S5973 photodiode in simulation, could anyone can help on this.
thanks

Hello Sumanth,
Could you clarify what problems you are running into? What parameters of the photodiode are you trying to simulate?
Best,
Hasan Babiker
Hi Sumanth,
the usual way is to draw the equivalent model of photodiode which is a current source in parallel with a capacitance representing the detector capacitance (in your case 1.6pF) and in parallel with a high ohmic resistance representing the leakage current of photodiode (in your case 10V / 100pA = 100G). Sometimes, this parallel resistance of photodiode is assumed to be infinite and can be omitted then.

Hi Hasan
I need to create a new S5973 photodode in multisim. but i need the subckt model for this. where can i get the model? could you please help me out in this.
thanks
Hi Kai
Thanks for the Reply. but how can i create my new photodiode model in multisim, S5973? any idea on this?
Thanks
Hello Sumanth,
If a manufacturer does not have a spice model for the part, I would suggest using Kai highlighted.
