Hi,
We are having issues with current shunt monitor INA139. We have been using this part for the past 8 years or so with yearly volume of about 2K.
We need to rework our boards to replace INA139 in order to measure the current accurately. We have about 25% failure rate.
Below is the schematic of the design using INA139 (U13). The output of INA139 goes directly to a high precision 24bit ADC. Please let me know if this is a known issue or is it potentially a design problem? The shunt resistor value is 0.2 Ohm and load resistor is 10 KOhm.
Thanks,
Bob
Bob,
Thanks for choosing TI!
I've actually been in discussion with Errol about this topic and he should be reaching out with some initial questions. Did you want to take this offline, or discuss further here?
If you'd like to discuss further, it looks like you posted a schematic or image and it did not come through. Could you repost this using the attach file button in the bar? Copy/Paste is not supported in the forum, even though it looks like the image properly inserts into the box.
Bob,
No problem! Please let me know if I can help. I will close this post for now. You can always respond to it later, or begin a new one referencing this one.
