LM2904: ESD diode in the device regarding LM2904B

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering LM2904B and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

According to the datasheet,LM2904B improved ESD Voltage +/-2000V from +/-500V.

In LM2904, there are no diodes from IN to V+; there is no "power Supply ESD Cell".

Is this the same for LM2904B？

Neither the LM2904 nor the LM2904B have diodes from the inputs to V+. The ESD protection is implemented with the equivalent of a Zener diode.

Clemens is correct there are no diodes to V+ on input pins.

Do not exceed +36V on the input pins. The "zener" will not keep the inputs under +36V.
