DDC232 evaluation board?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DDC232, DDC264EVM, DDC264, DDC114, DDC112, DDC1128

I am looking for an evaluation board for the DDC232.  The closest thing I can find is the DDC264EVM, which has four DDC264 chips on it.  Is the DDC264EVM the only evaluation board available for this product family?

  • John,

Thanks for contacting TI. I am Adam Sidelsky, applications support for the DDC line of products.

Unfortunately we don't offer an EVM for the DDC232. There are EVMs/PDK kits available for the following devices:

    DDC112/DDC114
    DDC264
    DDC1128

I can help you order any of these and would be glad to answer any questions you have about these parts.

To best help you identify the right device, please let us know the expected charge range and number of channels needed per system.

    Regards,

    -Adam
  • Dear Mr. Sidelsky,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

I am fairly certain that we have selected the best analog front end for our application. I've been discussing my design issues with a few other TI engineers, here:

    e2e.ti.com/.../480494

The one detail missing from that discussion is the size of our sensor array. It has exactly 32 diodes.

An eval board with 256 channels is far more than I need. However, I can understand why TI might make only one large board for the whole DDC product family. If that is indeed the case, I will order one through one of your distributors.
  • John,

Yes that thread was my colleague and I answering your questions.

We recommend the DDC264EVM as it is closest to the DDC232 and has a connector for you to connect your diode array.

Please let us know if we can help you order the board or if you need any other information.

    Regards,

    -Adam
