Hi expert,

May I know why TAS5411 datasheet recommend 15uH output inductor but TAS5431 recommend 22uH? Is there any design consideration here?

Just to double chek, if customer moving from TAS5411 to TAS5431, no HW and SW change is required, right? Thanks.

Hi Arie.

TAS5431-Q1 is functionally equivalent and pin2pin compatible with the TAS5411-Q1, except the TAS5431-Q1 has been updated to assure that the I2C is Non-Blocking in Standby as noted in the table below.

TI recommends to use the TAS5431-Q1 in new designs.

So both 15uH and 22uH are OK to use? This different inductor information makes customer confused. Do you have recommended inductor for tas5431? Thanks.

Hi, Arie.

Ti recommends referencing to the datasheet of newer device TAS5431, which is used 22uH/3.3uF as the output filter.
