If I insert OMTP Headset in J4 will i be able to use use both speaker and mic of the headset? in other words, will i be able to talk and hear on headset?

Or should we use only headphone as mentioned in schematic?

Hi,

The OMTP headset will fit in this audio jack as the GND pin is in the last sleeve, but the 3rd sleeve in the EVM is a MICDET which is for headset detection and not MIC input.

Correct, but if i insert a jumper for W3 and W1(3-2), one should be able to Use both mic input (MIC1LP) and MICDETright?

On this question is yes, but on the previous question it is with headphone jack which does not connect to MIC.
