TLV320ADC6140: Interface Nvidia Jetson Nano to TLV320ADC6140

Part Number: TLV320ADC6140

Hi Team,

We received this inquiry from our customer.

" We bought an acoustic board TLV320ADC6140 and we want to interface this board on a nvidia jetson nano.
I understand that linux kernel can have a module to interface with this board in I2C.
I'm beginner in linux kernel and i don't know how can I install the corresponding module.
I will continue to document myself on kernel modules and the jetson nano"

I shared the links from this E2E FAQ and below is his response. https://e2e.ti.com/support/audio-group/audio/f/audio-forum/954535/faq-tlv320adc5140-is-there-a-linux-driver-for-the-tlv320adc5140-family-of-devices

" Nvidia provides a Jetson nano OS with Ubuntu 18.04 and a kernel version 4.9.
I see that linux driver for tlv320adcX140 is not included in this kernel version and has been introduced later.
Updating Ubuntu and kernel on the board may make nvidia drivers incompatible
Do you know how can i manually install the driver?
Is there another method to interface with the TLV320ADC6140? "
Regards,
Danilo
  • Hi Danilo

Glad to support you. You can share your compiling log and code with me? I can support you to compile the code.

    My e-mail address is shenghao-ding@ti.com

One more thing, I can recommend our new regbin arch which is setting all the register over a bin file. you won't change any code in order to modify only a register.
