Hi team,

Q1. If I want to evaluate Tas2x63EVM with optical inputs, Can I use the PP-SALB2-EVM LearningBoard 2 to do so?

If yes, Would you check if below configuration is right method?

Vbat=5V
PVDD=11V(external PVDD used)
8Ohm load(dummy connected to AP)

Q2. If I connect learning board to TAS2x64EVM, Does XMOS automatically select I2S signal path from MUX?

Hi Jay,

The SALB2-EVM is not intended for that use case, so unfortunately there is not a direct way to use an optical audio source to evaluate the EVM. You would need to use an optical to I2S/TDM device first, then connect to the EVM external TDM headers.

Perhaps you can use PCM9211EVM to take optical input to TDM output.
Alternatively use AC-MB board that features PCM9211, then take the TDM signals from J7 into TAS2X63EVM. AC-MB comes long with our ADC EVM devices like ADCx140 and ADCx120.

Yes, that is independent of the audio input being used.
