TLV320AIC12K: Sink Current when FS is configured as input and FSD as an output

Customer has following question.

In datasheet pg 26 has following description

"During the first 64 MCLKs, FS is configured as an output and FSD as an input. During the next 64 MCLKs, FS is configured as an input and FSD as an output."

Do you have the sink current limit when FSD as an output ?

We don't have that number documented. Is there a concern of that pin sinking current during start up?

Hi Jeff

The design uses it as input pin with a voltage translator. There will be a momentary higher sink current when starting up.
Customer likes to ask if there is any limit current to this IO to ensure there is no impact on the codec?

Engineer doesn't have a measured sink current value but he just like to understand the max current allowed to sink at FS when it behaves as an input pin

Hi Kelvin,

I'm not sure why you need a voltage translator, as the feature was designed to cascade devices. But looking at this table, this is what you can estimate as the allowed current to sink. This is a part of the recommended operating conditions.
