TAS5805MEVM: I2S - Controlling the audio amp chip with our microcontroller

Part Number: TAS5805MEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5805

Can you please tell me if my understandings below are correct:

I have the TAS5805MEVM music chip evaluation module and I want to hook up our own microcontroller (ESP32) to send I2S audio to the eval board.  To do this I believe I remove the I2S SEL jumpers (J12-J14) and hook up wires coming from my ESP32 microcontroller to pin 2 on each jumper (J12-J14).  In the eval board schematics, the I2S SEL jumpers pin 2 goes to the TAS5805 chip which is the DUT (Device Under Test).  To get music playing on the eval board, are these I2s pins the only 3 pins that need to interface with our microcontroller? For example we don't need to use the SDA or SCL pins for basic music play?
