TPA3116D2: Inductors and chip are very hot, untouchably hot

The inductors and ic on the mono subwoofer channel (PBTL) om my dual amplifier board are very hot. The stereo high end amp is much better and only gets warm. I measured the idle power and it’s 10W. (19,5v 0,5A) . The stereo amp is only using 1W. I’m using the Bourns SRR1280-100M. (10uH 19,5mΩ 6A Imax 6,3 Isat). I’ve tried putting a different inductor (Wurth WE-SD 744711005) with no difference. Should a inductor with a very high (<20A) Isat and Imax solve the problem?

Here are the Schematics and the PCB layout's. I've temporarily put a 12V supply on it, but i intent on using a 19,5V supply.

What's the output power on mono mode? The Isat of inductor is related to output power.

And double confirm the 1nF and 3.3R+10nF circuit bom are correct, you can remove them and double check again.

How can I know the output power? 100W max in PBTL right?.

The values are correctly placed. Should I change them? I followed the datasheet and the EVM module.

Hi Jip

Firstly, you can short audio input through 1uF capacitors, and check idle current. It can exclude the possibility that input noise lead current increase.

I have 1uf connected to the output from my PC. When that is outputting sound or not it get's warm. I even put some 30A inductors on, where the ic get's hotter than the dual channel IC. I still have to check the idle current though.

Please check input noise firstly.

If you have EVM board, you can evaluate on EVM board.
