PUREPATH-CMBEVM: TAS5754MDCAEVM

Part Number: PUREPATH-CMBEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5825M, TAS5828M, TAS5825P

Writing firmware to the MPS430 for booting without connection to a computer  refers.

I would like to do exactly the same, i.e. get the MSP430 to boot and set up the EVM as USB Audio sink without using PP Console. Can you share source code please?

Thanks in advance.

BTW why does the config file created in stop mode not reflect the same register values when running. I get that it is muted, but DAC Data path and a lot of others are wrong, causing a lot of debug time. I used TAS5754 EVM for info.

  • Hello Barry,

What are the system requirements for your project? Was wondering why the TAS5754 was selected as we may have newer devices that fit your spec and use our updated software/tuning platform PPC3 such as the TAS5828M or TAS5825M/TAS5825P

The standalone functionality with the PUREPATH-CMB is difficult to use and the firmware is not actively maintained so you will need to update for the current version of the MSP430. Support on this standalone functionality is very limited and not recommended as for most devices we transitioned to a standalone EVM, however you can look at this https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00609

    best regards,

  • Thanks Luis

The firmware will see me right. I just did not know where to look.

    Kind regards
