TLV320AIC3106: How to configure TLV320AIC3106 - not hearing any sound

HI,

I working customized iMX8M plus Processer Board.  Processor Interacting withTLV320AIC3106 audio codec with I2S protocol  and I2C for configuring .

  • Once system booted with audio codec driver , can’t access the TLV320AIC3106 I2C line. If without Audio driver booted the system then manually reset the   TLV320AIC3106   codec able to access the I2C Line .  How can configure the codec with I2C lines .
  • If run the command aplay   /user/share/sounds/alsa/*.wav files   . not getting any sound out put  . if check in the oscilloscope  audio out put pin’s only voltage level increases. Once wave file stops   gradually voltage level  going down

 

Please give the solution what I have to do ?? Getting audio out .

    Hi Muralidhara,

    The I2C lines require no configuration after the device is powered up. Are you confirming the device is powered up? Otherwise this is a software issue on the processor side.

    What configuration are you giving the codec after the I2C is working? By default the device will not output anything.
