Hi,

I would like to connect Digital input to Eval board from external source and get the analog output with the Eval Board (TLV320DAC3101EVM-K). But with the schematics, it seems DIn, BCLK, MCLK and DOUT are by default connected to TAS1020BPFB.

IS there a way to disable I2S communication with TAS1020BPFB, would there be any interference if digital signal is connected from outside to TLV320DAC3101EVM-U.

Hi Kiran,

Unfortunately, there's no simple way to disable the TAS1020B interface. Connecting an external signal source would indeed cause interference.
If you want to keep I2C function from TAS1020B, you'd have to cut the I2S traces before the test points and use these test points as contact points for the external signal.
If you plan to use both I2C and I2S from external source, you may remove TAS1020B and EEPROM from the board.

HI Ivan,

I would like to configure the Eval board through USB interface, i only need to connect Digital Audio signal from outside. So, I would like to disconnect only I2S signals.

Since there are no 0-ohm resistors, i am thinking to life the I2S pins of TAS1020. Is there a BOM for the TLV320DAC3101EVM-U as its not visible on Users guide.
