TPA3110D2: TPA3110D2

Part Number: TPA3110D2

No audio output from TPA3110D2.

Hello TI,

I'm making a circuit using TPA3110D2, in PBTL configuration.

I saw that is necessary to keep the pin SD at least 2V to keep it in HIGH position, but using the 100K resistor that is showed in the datasheet only gives 0,8V. Then I cheked and there are only 2K from SD to GND, then giving 2V to SD needs a very low resistence, and also lot of power, wich probably could break the IC.

In the datasheet shows that in PBLT configuration, it only gives audio only to one of the 4 inputs, I tried with one and with the 4 inputs connected, but I don't get any output.

I share my schematics, and hope anyone knows what's wrong. I hope it's something not really important,

Thank you.

Adrian.

  • Hi Adrian

From your description, you already build the board and tested it, and found the SD/FAULT pin stays at low level, right? It shouldn't caused by the pull up resistor, the 100Kohm should be no problem to pull up. It should be the FAULT pin keep pulling down, try to tell you there's a fault happens.

The schematic, there seems no capacitor at AVCC pins, better to put 1uF.

The input pins connection, maybe the major reason. Every input pin will try to establish the DC bias voltage when power up, connect them together will cause trouble. Please try to change them into page 24 in the datasheet.
