Hi,

We are developing custom board for one of our client(Audio application).We are using TPA3110D2PWPR Audio amplifier to connect with two 10W speaker.

Below is the issue which we are getting when we powerup the board and send the audio signal to amplifier input.

1.SD and fault pin has been shorted and given pullup resistor.But Amplifier is pulling it low through fault pin and the cause is unknown.There is no thermal issues and no short on input capacitors.But we are suspecting DC detect.so we removed the output filter inductors and input capacitors also done the power cycling but still we are not able to isolate the issue.Let us know how to get fault pin back to high state.

There's seems two problem.

The first is at pin14, seems our output side is using BTL, so should pull low at pin14.

Another is at the pull up of SD and FAULT pin. We also need to use PVCC, which is 12V to pull up. Please disconnect the trace to your MCU, and use 12V to pull up, see if problem could gone. Thanks.

You could firstly check what is the voltage at pin AVCC and GVDD, then the voltage at the pin INN and INL.

How many device have we tested? Maybe we could also consider change another IC and have a try.
