TAS5806MD: Can I use DRC by connecting Bluetooth chip with TAS5806MD?

Part Number: TAS5806MD

Hello.

I want to make a product using the Buletooth Chip and TAS5806MD.

I2C was connected to the above 2 product EVKIT to check the sound motion.

We also have a PUREPATH board, so we know that DRC control is possible through PPC3 separately.

Like PPC3 DRC, I would like to use DRC by connecting Buletooth Chip and TAS5806MD.

However, if you look at DATASHEET, there are no registers for DRC.
I don't know what value to enter to use DRC.

I know that header files can be extracted from PPC3.
I don't know how to use header files alone.

Is it impossible to use DRC function unless it's PPC3?

I hope you can help me.

  • For your information, I've read the user guide Process Flows.

  • hi Ju

do you mean you want to config the DRC by bluetooth?

i think if you can sending i2c command to Amp by bluetooth, then it is ok to config DRC with BT.

if you just want to know the code of DRC, you can follow below steps:

use the i2c log to get the config data. then you can deliver the script to amp.

  • Hello, Jesse Ji
    Thank you for your answer.
I understand what you mean by extracting i2c log data.
I don't know how to use the extracted i2clog data for Bluetooth IC.
Datasheet does not have a separate register for DRC.
Can you explain how to use it?
I'll be waiting for the reply.

  • hi Ju

i don't very understand your question.

DRC setting just need your chip having the i2c transfer feature.

we are not familiar with the BT IC, why DRC need a separate register for BT IC?

can you describe more about what function you want to realize?

    tks
