TAS5806MD: Inquiry for register setting

Part Number: TAS5806MD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5806M

Hi, TI support team

I have received inquiry from customer.

1. Can TAS5806MD use the DSP Memory Register below?

Do I need an external storage device such as eeprom or flash memory to use it?

2. If the DSP Memory is built into the TAS5806MD and can be used without a separate external storage device, how can the DSP Memory Register be used?

Signal interface is I2S.

Can I write in the following order: Slave address + Sub address + Page Value + Value?

3. Is the default value of the DSP Memory map of TAS5806MD the same as the Default value of the DSP Memory map listed in Doc "TAS5806M_ Process Flows.pdf"?

(The number of registers is too large, so we will only process the code with changes)

Thanks.

Regards,

MJ

  • Hi MJ

TAS5806MD has internal memory, could use I2C to set the value.

The Write orders should be: Slave address + Sub address  + Value, please check datasheet 9.5.2.

    3. Is the default value of the DSP Memory map of TAS5806MD the same as the Default value of the DSP Memory map listed in Doc "TAS5806M_ Process Flows.pdf"?

(The number of registers is too large, so we will only process the code with changes)

The default value is as Process Flow document listed. Suggest to use PPC3 software to generate the correct script.
