TAS2505-Q1: Back EMF during Power OFF

Part Number: TAS2505-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

Our customer plans to employ TAS2505-Q1 as actuator driver.

Here is question, what happen if apply back EMF to SPKP and M pins from actuator during power off a TAS2505-Q1.

Our expectation is that even SPKVdd=0V, internal ESD cell bypass the current from actuator.

Is that correct? If so, what is maximum acceptable current of ESD cell?

The other thought is H-bridge FET body diode will bypass back EMF, in this case what is maximum acceptable current?

  • Hi Mochizuki,

I'll circle back these questions with internal team as it's not common implementation.
In any case, perhaps it's better to just add some isolation in series with the load to prevent BEMF reaching back to the outputs of the amplifier.
