PCM6020-Q1: Micbias used as external supply in AC coupling

Hi TI team,

Can we use the Mic bias supply as phantom power(8V,15mA) and Mic bias will be connected to after the AC coupling capacitor (connector pin). 

No Micbias is connected at ADC input side. Is this solution works, any issue with PCM6020 functions

    Hi Madhaiyan,

    You can use the MICBIAS supply as phantom power, but the resistors R0 in the diagram are still required in parallel. This is because the device does not generate the ADC bias point directly on the input pins, so MICBIAS is needed to provide the biasing.
