Hi Team,

This is FAE Jayden, ZTE is using TAS6424-Q1&TAS6421-Q1 in their auto project. Could you help support schematic review? Many Thanks.

The first page of the schematic diagram shows the interconnection between the two modules, and the second and third pages show the internal circuits of the two modules.
TAS6424 and TAS6421 are cascaded, and the application block diagram is shown below.

Hi Jayden,

The schematic looks ok. The only thing that is incorrect is that the VBAT must be greater than 9Vdc. I see that it is 5V in your schematic. Please connect the VBAT to the PVDD supply.

The voltage range of our external batteries is 6V to 26 V.But the VBAT of TAS6424 is 4.5V to 18V.Could you please explain “the VBAT must be greater than 9Vdc” in detail？

It's mostly because GVDD is designed to 7V, and through internal LDO from VBAT. If using lower VBAT, GVDD voltage will also decrease. Then the MOSFET driver will also have to use smaller voltage. The switching loss will increase, and efficiency goes low. Not suggest to long time working during this situation.

Hi Gregg,

What if the power supply of VBAT is greater than 18 V but less than 26 V?Is it impossible to work, but it will not be damaged?

Will not damage, the Absolute Maximum Ratings of VBAT is 30V.
