TAS2505EVM: Wrong LDO Output Voltage

Part Number: TAS2505EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS2505

Tool/software:

Hello, when I was using TAS2505, I noticed the 1.8V output port from the LDO produces about 2.7V if I connect the board via USB or provide a 5V voltage externally, and 2.7V is beyond the recommended maximum voltage (1.95V) specified on the datasheet for AVDD and DVDD. I was wondering if it is still ok to continue using 2.7V for AVDD and DVDD in this case, or if there's any workarounds.

Thank you!

  • Hi Jiahe,

Can you specify the jumper settings on the EVM? Do you mean that the on-board LDO outputs more voltage than 1.8V for DVDD and AVDD?
The device may tolerate a higher voltage, but it's not recommended to go beyond the maximum ratings specified in the data sheet.
