low frequency response TAS5630

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5630

hello,

I have a customer that has a doubt about the frequency response of the TAS5630 at the following application: single-ended (SE), 2 ohm load.
Currently they have a good frequency responce of  70 Hz  to over 20 KHz [board mounted with TAS5630] and they would like to work with  lower frequency  signals like  40 Hz, it means that the amplifier must have a bandwidth greater than the current one, the limit bottom of the bandwith should be changed from the current 70 Hz to 40 Hz. What could be done to improve the low frequency response?

thanks,

Bruno Nunes

  • Hi, Bruno,

The amp itself doesn't have any issues with low frequencies. There are several caps in series with the signal, keep in mind that these can act as a high-pass filter. You probably need to make some of these caps larger; with large enough caps, you can easily get to 20 Hz and below with this device.
