I'm using TAS5706B in a dual mono configuration, so I use only one channel in BTL configuration with two IC.
Microcontroller update the DAP configuration even during music play, I can change DRC and Biquads. The input I2S signal has a fix sample rate of 192kHz.
In order to do it correctly I implement the procedure as described in the datasheet at page 40 point 12.
The final user have simply to ear the music stop and then start for a while.
At the moment I'm not able to do a soft stop without a pop. I set register 0x1A at value 0x17 and amplifier start up is pop less.
Even after DAP update (with music stop and start ) the start up is pop less, but the shutdown present always a pop.
Measuring with the oscilloscope it seems that PWM is starting softly up to 50% during start up but stops abruptly.
Even playing with 0x1A do not change the result.
I saw your document "Removing “Pop” Noise in TAS570X Power-Up" and at the moment I do no implement this solution even because I have a pop only during stop and not during start up. Is this Application Report valid even for TAS5706B? Do you think it could help me?
Question:
1) Do you have any suggestion how to soft shutdown the TAS5706 without any pop?
2) Looking on soft-start and soft-stop behaviour it seems that even using an extreme setting (13 seconds) the PWM start up and stop is only delayed but the ramp duration from 0% to 50% do no change. Is this correct?
3) Is possible to download the file attached in "TAS5103 PSRR", I receive an error when I try to download it.
Thanks for support.
Best regards.
