Hi,

I also have the same question regarding Linux driver support for PCM2912A. We have ordered DEM-PCM2912AEVM module and we want to connect it to another board through USB interface. The other board has Linux running on it. So if we enable USB Audio/MIDI driver in kernel that would be sufficient to recognize the device? We can use arecord utility and capture data?

Please confirm.

Using standard USB Audio should be sufficient to work with PCM2912A.

I got the DEM-PCM2912A board. I am trying to use the board with microphone from sound professionals

I tried  on linux but there was no output from aplay. So I connected in windows and followed the instructions in PCM2912a user manual by changing the settings in control panel. The red light for microphone input will be ON but I am not able to record any audio from the board Mic in. The microphone is working fine when connected to laptop Mic in. So I was wondering if there are any restrictions w.r.to DEM-PCM2912A microphone input.

Please let me know.

Yes. I tried with different recording levels. I am having windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit version.

The recorded values are very close to zero line.
