PCM2912A: Run a loud speaker through PCM2912A Codec

Part Number: PCM2912A

Hi Team,

I'm using PCM2912A in one of my design, where from AM335X usb port is only available for codec.

Need to run a 2watt/8ohm loud speaker with MIC support also.

Please check the codec and amplifier portion for any kind of modification.

Here the link of my schematic.

Thanks..

  • Hi, Subir,

Welcome to E2E, Thanks for your interest in our products!.

I have reviewed your schematic. please refer to the comments below:

    • The PCM2912A part of the schematic seems correct.
    • The amplifier input is connected in pseudo-differential way, so it is required to connect the audio source for the amplifier to the positive input with a 1µF input capacitor, while the negative input should be connected to ground with a second 1µF capacitor only.

  • Hi Diego,

    Thanks for guide.

As you suggested changed the schematic. In schematic R17 / R18, given both the option. Finally we will use only one signal.
