TLV320AIC3120: Can TLV320AIC3120 support PTT?

Hi All,

I want to use the TLV320AIC3120 fulfiling PTT fuction, in my design, this chip connectsto a  YAESU indcated headset (VC-24).I needs MIC keeps active to collect sound while button being pressed .

Can TLV320AIC3120's button detection  support this fuction?

    Hi, Jimmy,

    Welcome to E2E, Thanks for your interest in our products!.

    The button detection feature in this device is used only to monitor if the button is pressed, reflecting the button status in register 46 (instantaneous) or 44 (sticky). An interrupt can be generated from this device as well to indicate if the button is pressed.

    This device doesn't support direct PTT so you might need to use a controller to capture audio from the codec only when the button is pressed.
