Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM2706
Hi,
In order to validate I2S and I2C communication in my application, I would like to make a quick&dirty setup similar to the TAS5713EVM, however without the amplifier output-filter and preferrably without PVDD supply. Can one expect I2C and I2S communication to be functional in this minimalistic configuration? (For example, while PVDD is absent, could one read the clock register through I2C to see that the I2S sample-frequency and MCLK-scaler are correctly detected while providing an I2S audio stream from a PCM2706/7?) I am not 100% sure based on the initialization sequence on page 37/38 of the datasheet..
Before just building stuff, it would be great to know the expected result!
