TAS6422Q1EVM: TAS6422EVM I2C communication address issue

My TAS6422 EVM uses a different I2C address to communicate (0x50). This differs from the advertised value (0x6A) which is used by the PurePath software tools. How can I either a) reset the I2C address the EVM uses, and/or b) configure the PurePath software tools to use the I2C address the board is actually responding to? Thanks.

Hi John,

The software is fixed to talk to 6A (D4/D5 read/write pair), which is the default I2C address on the EVM. Where did you see the address as 0x50?

Greg I am monitoring I2C traffic to the EVM using Beagle. The device fails to acknowledge the 6A address, but does acknowledge 0x50. Hence the reason for the question.

Hi John,
This is the address to load the EEPROM into the TAS1020B USB device. Then the device will use the proper address to talk to the TAS6422-Q1.

What is the procedure for loading the EEPROM into the TAS1020B device? Doesn't the board come operational with address 6A as the board by colleagues in a different region has?
