How can I get a user's software to test my board with lm49270? I suppose, there is one, but I can't find it.

    Hi Anton,

    Do you mean you have an evaluation board of LM49270? Do you have the I2C control board as well?
    The User's Guide shows a capture of a simple GUI, I can look if this is still available. Although it may have compatibility issues.

    Yes, I have an evaluation board of LM49270 and I have to test it in some way.

    In user's guide for evaluation board it is mentioned, that there is a software for this product
    This amplifier seems to be useful because it switch automatically when headphones are pluged. Are there any productes with such function?

    Hi Anton,

    Unfortunately I was not able to find an installer for the LM49270 GUI, there are only isolated files that need to be assembled.
    We often have this kind of problems with legacy devices (like most LMx devices).

    Perhaps you can take a look at some newer devices that have stronger support. If you're looking for a device that has Headphone output and digital communication, you could consider TPA6130A2, TPA6166A2, or some DAC devices from TLV320DAC31xx family.

    I'll check if it is OK to share the files, there are source files so I need to make sure we can distribute them.
    Most of the people that came with legacy devices have left TI long time ago, the first data sheet from TI for this device is from 2006. I'll try to look for someone in our records but it would be hard to actually find someone that is still around.

    Do you have any results? I really hope, what you could share files for LM49270 software, because this amp is still among active projects. And I suppose, software for it has to exist (I hoped for it when I was buying this LMx)

    Anton,

    Only files available are attached. As mentioned it might need to be assembled.
    No contacts are available as all the people related to development of this device have left TI.
    We strongly recommend to look into our newer devices rather than sticking to legacy devices for new designs, as the support is much stronger for new devices.
    The support for LM49270 has been gradually reduced as EVM was obsoleted back in 2015.

    If you can provide application requirements we can suggest some replacements, as mentioned before.

    I really appreciate your help. Thank you for yhe files.
    And about another, moderner amp - I am looking for audio amplifier with outputs for headphone, speaker, and output, which indicates, that headphones are pluged in (or an amp, which can automatically switch between headphone (when they are pluged) and speaker ). And this amp must have I2C interface to control volume.

    Hi Anton,

    You can consider TLV320DAC31xx family or TLV320DAC3203. These are DACs that have micdet/headset detect that you can use to detect the insertion of a headphone plug.
    There are CODECs similar to these from TLV320AIC3xxx family which also have ADCs along with the DAC.
