Part Number: TPA3110D2

Hi Sirs,

Is there a protection mechanism with the TPA3110 to avoid speaker damage from inrush current on SD# ON/Off for long run?

Thank you and Best regards,

  • Hi Wayne,

TPA3110 has OC protection to avoid high current through FET to protection chip and speaker.

SD ON/OFF current is the step response of external L/C/speaker network. If customer speaker is sensitive for current damage, could they use large inductor to avoid this peak current?

what's more, maybe you can also consider to use PLIMIT function.

    Rdgs,
    Matthew
  • Thank you for your advise, Matthew. We will be checking if customer can use LC filter design and get yo back shortly. We can use PLIMIT function as wwll...Wayne Chen
