TLV320AIC3256EVM-U: Mic to speaker

Part Number: TLV320AIC3256EVM-U

Hi.

I  am  in charge of  a project of bluetooth headset with the function of  hearing aid. I choosed a Bluetooth chip as the Microprogrammed Control Unit (MCU) and TLV320AIC3256 as a digital signal processor of the audio. I want to use the Parametric EQ module(PEQ) of PurePath Studio as the hearing aid algorithm, but it seems the  PEQ has a very limited ability of compensation (0-12dB) for every frequency band. Is there  any other module which has a higher range of  compensation for every frequency band?

Thanks!

  • Hello,

Thanks for your interest in TLV320AIC3256. What would be the range of frequency compensation that you desire for the PEQ? Higher PEQ gains can be achieved by cascading PEQs with the same frequency bands. High gain EQ cascades can lead to saturation and that would have to be handled by scaling at the PEQ inputs and compensating at the PEQ outputs.

    Best Regards.

  • Hi,

Since I haven't heard back, I presume you have found a way to achieve higher gains. I shall mark this thread as resolved but please re-open or start a new thread if you need further assistance.

    Best Regards.
