Part Number: TAS5711PHPEVM
Hi TI Audio Team
We are using TAS5711 to design our smart speake.
Could you guide how to calculate the PVDD voltage with below speaker configuration?
SE x 2, 10W, 4 ohm
BTL x 1, 5W, 4 ohm
Thanks,
Edgar

hello Edgar,
do you mean single TAS5711 to support 2.1Mode SE x 2, 10W, 4 ohm+ BTL x 1, 5W, 4 ohm?
if this is the case. what is THD 1% or 10% for this 10W and 5W case?
Regards
Linda
Hi Linda
Yes, I means single TAS5711 to support 2.1 Mode with SE x2 ,10W, 4 ohm + BTL x 1,5W,4 ohm.
The THD of both are 1%.
Please let mke know how to calculate the PVDD voltage and total power consumption.
Thanks,
Edgar
Hi Mattew
1.If PVDD is 20V, the ouput power of BTL will over 20W.This is over our BTL speaker spec(5 W).
How to limite the output power of BTL to MAX 5W when the PVDD is 20V.
2.When PVDD is 20V, how to know the MAX output current?
I need the power consupumtion data to evaluate which POE type is suitable for our design. AT(25.5W) or BT( MIN 40W)??
Thanks,
Edgar
Hi Edgar,
1. BTL 20W @20V is the max output power. You need to use DRC to limit audio output power for all channels (Includes SE channels).
2. Max peak output current is related to your DRC configuration peak output power. As for POE design, you can refer continues output power efficiency. For rough 80% efficiency, then POE needs at least 31.25W only for audio amp three channels output (10W*2 SE, 5W BTL).

Matthew
Hi Matthew
Thanks for your reply.
I have a final question, could you please provide the layout file of TAS5711EVM to me??
Thanks,
Edgar
Hi Edgar,
You can find TAS5711 EVM Gerber file with below product folder:
