TAS5342LA: Amplification Process

Hello,

In reference to the block diagram for the TAS5342LA, the amplifier block appears to be show an n-channel enhancement-load configuration. I was hoping to confirm this configuration as it not completely clear given the symbol. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

Are you asking about the what kind of power FETs are integrated on this device? Yes, they are N-type enhancement MOSFETs.

Are they setup in an enhancement load configuration where VDD is tied to the gate and source of the top FET and the PWM input is tied to the gate of the bottom?

Hi,

No, it's more complex here. The high/lowside Power FETs are both driven by the gate driver circuit, which contain timing and logic control in it.
