Hi,
My customer requires that four ADC data outputs via only A channel Serial Interface.
Because their host processor has only one audio serial interface port.
Can TLV320AIC34 do it?
Or is there any good solution?
Best Regards,
Kuramochi

Hello Kuramochi,
I am not sure if I am understanding correctly. The customer would like to have all 4 ADC outputs on a single channel? If so, the AIC34 using TDM should do the trick.

Aaron-san,
Thank you for your reply.
TLV320AIC34 has two audio serial data bus, however CPU has only one bus.
Do you have good solution to connect AIC34 with CPU via one bus?

Hello Tadahiko-san,
You can connect DOUT_A and DOUT_B to the same bus and use TDM mode in the device. This will allow the customer to slot the data out. The processor would have to be set up to recognize one slot of data is from DOUT_A and the other is from DOUT_B.
I have included some very useful pieces of literature that talk about how to set the device up in this mode. I hope this helps.
Using TLV320AIC3x Digital Audio Data Serial Interface With Time-Division Multiplexing Support
Using TDM Function to Interface Four TLV320AIC33 Codecs With a Single Host Processor
This should be a good starting point. Let me know if there are any more questions.
